[Forum Activity] | Using Standardization to Support the Integration of Agricultural Products in Domestic and International Trade

Huang Haiqian, Deputy Director of the Meat and Aquatic Products Department of the China Chamber of Foodstuffs and Native Produce Import and Export, Gulam Khadir, Investment Counsellor at the Embassy of Pakistan in China, Zhang Jianhao, Secretary-General of the Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association, and Lu Haiping, Founder & Chief Strategic Investment Officer of Mexico Tierra y Gente Trade Co., Ltd., shared insights regarding policies and the application of standardization in China's agricultural exports, specifically in meat, aquatic products, fruits, and seasonings. Xie Xiangyan, Vice President of the Beijing Institute of Standardization, Le Fenpeng, Chief Engineer at the State Administration for Market Regulation, Sun Bing, General Manager of the Commercial Environment Business Division at the Iceberg Group, Shen Yan, CEO of Shanghai Lianku Information Technology Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches on the impact of digital standardization development on the industry, addressing industry pain points and proposing solutions.

The China Chamber of Foodstuffs and Native Produce Import and Export signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" with the Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association, facilitating in-depth communication and exchange between durian production enterprises in both China and Malaysia and promoting the better development of the durian industry in both countries.

The Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenyang Food Group, which is beneficial for the introduction of Malaysian durians to Shenyang (signed online).

The China Chamber of Foodstuffs and Native Produce Import and Export and the Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association jointly initiated the establishment of two group standards: "Global Geographical Indication Agricultural Products - Malaysian Musang King Durian" and "Global Geographical Indication Agricultural Products - Malaysian Black Thorn Durian."
